Reflecting on decision-making is an invitation to revisit our choices and, more importantly, to understand how we can learn from our mistakes. In a recent article published in the Harvard Business Review, titled “How to Learn from Your Mistakes and Make Better Decisions”, Cheryl Strauss Einhorn, founder and CEO of Decisive, a decision science company, cautions against the dangers of haste and the repetition of ineffective patterns — common mistakes often misinterpreted as efficiency.

This theme is closely connected to the psychological and social issues I frequently explore, where pursuing self-understanding and insight into others is crucial for achieving a more balanced and meaningful life.

Decision-making is inherently human, and we often overlook the importance of reassessing our choices with both a critical and compassionate perspective. Revisiting decisions is not a sign of weakness but an opportunity for growth and refinement.

We often find comfort in familiar routines because they appear safer. However, this sense of safety can trap us in cycles of ineffective choices, much like the mental clutter that disrupts our inner peace amid daily demands.
